Paluu lokikirjan ääreen. Return to the logbook.
Voin kait jo sanoa, että vuosia sitten pidin Velin puolella -blogia, johon kirjoittelin siitä, mitä puuhailin ja remontoin kotitilani vanhassa asuinrakennuksessa, joka oli ollut pitkään isäni verstaana.
Ehdin jonkin aikaa kirjoitella kaiken näköisiä tekstejä, mutta sitten elämä heitti sellaisia kurvipalloja määrätietoisen lukkarin ottein, että laitoin koko blogisivuston jäihin. Lopulta päädyin heittämään sen myös roskakoriin. Ehkä se oli virhe, kun näin jälkikäteen miettii, mutta nyt on hyvä hetki aloittaa tämä Maakravun lokikirja puhtaalta pöydältä.
Tänä jumalaisena vuonna 2026 tähtäimessä on aloittaa taas oman ilmaisun ja kirjoitustaidon ylläpitäminen ja kehittäminen. Ja hyvässä lykyssä ehkä joku muukin jaksaa lukea näitä lokimerkintöjä ja saa niistä jotakin irti omaan tekemiseensä.
Löysin vielä vanhan blogini pääkuvan arkistojen kätköistä. Se viittakoon tietä tälle uudelle kirjoitusprojektille. Kohti uutta, eläen hetkessä!

I suppose I can already say that years ago I ran a blog called Velin puolella, where I wrote about what I was up to and the renovation work at my home farm’s old residential building, which had long served as my father’s workshop.
For a while, I managed to write all kinds of posts, but then life threw a few curveballs with the precision of a determined pitcher, and I eventually put the whole blog on hold. In the end, I even ended up throwing it into the digital trash bin. Perhaps that was a mistake in hindsight, but now feels like a good moment to start fresh with The Landlubber’s Logbook.
In this somewhat divine year of 2026, my goal is to once again nurture and develop my expression and writing skills. And with a bit of luck, maybe someone out there will read these log entries and find something useful for their own work as well.
I even managed to find the old header image of my previous blog from the depths of the archives. Let it point the way for this new writing project. Toward something new, living in the moment!
